Sunday Scoop 2/8/15

It is Sunday so that means it is time for another link-up with Teaching Trio and the Sunday Scoop.

Have to Do:
There are so many lonely socks in our drawers, on the dresser, in the laundry room...etc. The time has come to gather all of those lonely socks and see if I can find a match for them. This week will entail a ton of reading for grad courses. I just have to push through it. I also have to get the car washed. It is out of control and needs to be cleaned.

Hope to Do:
I have been working on getting my promotional items ready for two upcoming conferences. I hope to send them out by midweek....fingers crossed! Also, I want to look for a new rug to go in my sunroom. I want something bright and cheerful.

Happy to Do:
The sun is finally shining...two days in a row now. I want to get outside with my family and enjoy it. It is still not quite warm here yet, but the sunshine has definitely brightened my spirits.

I went to a paint party on Saturday morning. It was a lot of fun, however, I learned that my creativity lies in other areas besides art/paint. :) This is my finished product. (I am sorry about the shadow in the pic.) The hubby hung it on the wall walking up our garage steps.

I hope each and everyone of you have a marvelous week!

  1. Hi Andrea,
I hear you on the socks. I find single socks everywhere and leave them lying around in different places. Every month or two I have to do a sock hunt and try and get most of them matched up. I don't know what it is about socks, but I detest them. :) Hope you get out in the sunshine. It does lift the spirits! Happy Sunday!

  2. I finally gave up on matching all the socks and now just put all the kids' socks in a basket and let them choose matches as best they can! I figure if Einstein didn't worry about it, then neither will I! :)

    1. Heehee...that is a great idea! My daughter already likes to mix-match her socks anyway, so that would work for her. :)

  3. The sun made a big appearance here in Ohio yesterday and it was glorious! Almost made us forget about all those piles of disgusting dirty snow lining the street...haha! Good luck with all your reading this week...been there...done that!

    1. Thank you! I am going to need it! Just opened an Amazon box only to find a 491 page book that I have to read by Saturday...fun times are ahead. :)

  4. I love your craft! It's actually quite cute!

You've reminded me that my car is in a serious need of washing too. We've got a place that does the full detail nearby and I think I will be paying them a visit this week. It's usually on these nice, sunny days that I worry about it. When it's cold, I could go weeks without worrying how awful it looks! Which means, that if I don't wash it soon, I'll probably forget again for awhile…lol! Hope you find a cute rug for your sunroom! I've actually found some really cute ones at Target. I love some of the recent designs and color patterns they've come out with!
